Mount Morgan is a rural town and locality in the Rockhampton Region, Queensland, Australia. In the the town of Mount Morgan had a population of 2,487 people.
The town was the administrative centre of the Mount Morgan Shire until March 2008, when it was amalgamated with neighbouring local government areas to form the Rockhampton Region.
The town of Mount Morgan is situated on the Dee River, 38 km south of the city of Rockhampton, and is 680 km north of the state capital, Brisbane. The Burnett Highway passes through the town.
There are a number of neighbourhoods within the locality:
* Gordon Vale (-23.65°N, 150.3833°W)
* Kenbula (-23.6578°N, 150.3706°W), located around the former Kenbula railway station
* Talban (-23.6503°N, 150.3758°W), located around the former Talban railway station
The names Kenbula and Talban were both assigned by the Queensland Railway Department on 18 November 1911. Both are Aboriginal names, Kenbula meaning ironbark tree and Talban meaning stone curlew.

The ancestors of Aboriginal Australians began arriving from south east Asia approximately 65,000 years ago, during the last ice age. Arriving by sea, they settled the continent and had formed approximately 250 distinct language groups by the time of European settlement, maintaining some of the longest known continuing artistic and religious traditions in the world. Australia has since maintained a stable liberal democratic political system and wealthy market economy.
